Coaster Con XXXV at Dollywood and Carowinds begins on Sunday!

Below are some important reminders and information:

v Registration – Sunday, June 17 – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the ballroom of
Park Vista DoubleTree Hotel in Gatlinburg. There will also be a short
registration on Monday, June 18 – 7 to 7:30 a.m. in the front lobby of the
Park Vista hotel.

v Banquet – For those of you who are attending the banquet, please
remember to take your banquet ticket (included in your registration
packet) to the Banquet Seating Selection area during Sunday\’s registration
to make your table reservation for Wednesday evening. The banquet tables
will seat ten. You may make seating selections for a pre-arranged group,
but every ticket must be verified at the Seating Selection area.
Additional banquet tickets will be available for sale until the end of
registration on Monday morning for $50 (convention attendees), Once
registration closes Monday, a limited number of tickets will be available
to those who are not attending the convention at a price of $70.

v Dollywood Season Pass Holders – Please remember to bring your season
pass. If you do not have it, you will need to pay the difference between
the discounted and full rates — $30.00.

v Carowinds Season Pass / Cedar Fair Platinum Pass Holders – Please
remember to bring your season pass. If you do not have it, you will need
to pay the difference between the discounted and full rates — $40.00.

v Important notice concerning the train to the mountain top at Dollywood
(Sunday evening) – You MUST arrive at the train station in the park before
6 p.m.! There will be only one train to the mountain top. If you do not
arrive before 6 p.m., you will not be able to participate in the buffet
meal or entertainment activities.

v Parking – Attendees will receive a Dollywood parking pass during
registration. You will receive complimentary parking at Carowinds by
showing your Coaster Con name badge or current ACE membership card.
Parking at the Park Vista DoubleTree Hotel is free for hotel guests only .
If you\’re not staying at the hotel, you may park there while picking up
your registration packets, while attending the social mixer on Monday at
10:30 p.m., and while attending the cocktail party and banquet on
Wednesday evening.

v Name Badges – Please remember to wear the name badge you receive in
your registration packet. You will need it to participate in all ACE
convention activities. If you happen to lose your badge, please see Steve
Smith, Dave Bird, Dave Altman, Mike Thompson, or Bill Linkenheimer for a
replacement.

v Schedule of Activities – To view or print a schedule of activities in
advance, or save it to your smartphone, just click the link below or use
your smartphone to scan the QR code to the right. The official schedule
will be included in your registration packet. It is more detailed, and
differs from what was printed in the event flier.

v Coaster Con Text/Email Notifications – If you wish to stay up to date
on any last minute schedule changes and important information that becomes
available during the event, you can sign up to receive text and/or email
notifications (standard text message rates apply where applicable to those
without unlimited texting plans). To sign up, click on the link below or
use your smartphone to scan the QR code at the right events notification.
Scan the code with your phone, and receive the latest convention news,
updates and bulletins online. Be sure to follow the instructions to reply
to the first text/or email to confirm that your opting in to the service.
Should you have any problem signing up for this service, representatives
from the ACE Southeast region will be on hand during registration to
assist you.

v Tours and Fun Things To Do – Check your Coaster Con XXXV Schedule of
Activities for early morning tours of Dollywood attractions. The tours
are first come, first serve, and advance sign up is required. Sign up at
the Dollywood table during registration at the Park Vista DoubleTree
hotel. In addition, all attendees can enjoy SkyZip at a 20% discount by
showing their Dollywood lanyard. The discount is valid Sunday through
Wednesday of Coaster Con XXXV during normal operating hours. Attendees
MUST meet all SkyZip rules/restrictions, and the tours are limited
capacity.

An Adventure Mountain Challenge Course Competition will be held on Monday
from 1 – 3 p.m. Advanced sign up is required, and can be done during
Sunday\’s registration at the Dollywood Hospitality table.

v Spread The Word About ACE! – Promotional cards, like those included in
the last issue of ACE News, will be available during event registration.
Please take a few only if needed, and share a card with anyone you may
meet at the convention who is as interested in coasters as you. A QR
code has been printed on the back of your event name badge. If someone
you meet asks you about ACE and has a smartphone with them, they can scan
the code which links to the \”Join ACE\” page of ACEonline.org.

v Want more to do in the area? – The Tennessee Smokies minor league
baseball team is offering a discount for convention attendees. ACEers can
take in a game or two at the Smokies Ballpark, for the week leading up to
convention, with specially-priced tickets and food vouchers. Smokies
Ballpark is located 15 miles North of Dollywood in Sevierville. Event

Rafting in the Smokies is offering ACE members a discount on rafting in
the Great Smoky Mountains. Rafting in the Smokies offers two different
float trips — the upper Pigeon River and the lower Pigeon River. ACE
members can choose either rafting trip and combine the trip with a ride on
a Zipline and/or Ropes challenge course. Event Flier
