(CBS) \u2013 Thrill-seekers rejoice. Canobie Lake Park is getting<br \/>\nready to reopen. The amusement part in Salem, New Hampshire will open its<br \/>\ngate to the public on July 16<br \/>\n<<a href=\"https:\/\/boston.cbslocal.com\/2020\/06\/17\/canobie-lake-park-reopening-opening-date\/\">boston.cbslocal.com\/2020\/06\/17\/canobie-lake-park-reopening-opening-date\/<\/a>><br \/>\n.<\/p>\n<p>If you are headed that way, expect things to be a little different than<br \/>\npast years, in order to keep visitors and employees safe and healthy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new normal is what we\u2019re working on diligently,\u201d Brand Manager Chris<br \/>\nNicoli told WBZ-TV. \u201cYou\u2019re going to see a lot of changes and differences<br \/>\nthis year to create a safe, outdoor, fun, family entertainment experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those changes include health screenings and temperature checks at the gate,<br \/>\nlimited capacity on rides, and social distancing in queues and throughout<br \/>\nthe park. There will even be a \u2018social distance crew\u2019 to help it all go<br \/>\nsmoothly.<br \/>\n\u201cOne of the big things too, is you\u2019re not going to be able to just come<br \/>\nlike you normally would,\u201d Nicoli explained. \u201cYou are going to need an<br \/>\nadvance reservation this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those reservations aren\u2019t available just yet, but will be available at<br \/>\nCanobie.com <<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canobie.com\/updates\/\">www.canobie.com\/updates\/<\/a>> soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to have some timed entry where guests will be asked to come<br \/>\nat a particular time to check in, but once you are here you can enjoy the<br \/>\nrest of the day,\u201d Nicoli said.<br \/>\nThe state of New Hampshire recently approved recommendations for amusement<br \/>\nparks<br \/>\n<<a href=\"https:\/\/boston.cbslocal.com\/2020\/06\/11\/coronavirus-new-hampshire-amusement-parks-santas-village-canobie-lake\/\">boston.cbslocal.com\/2020\/06\/11\/coronavirus-new-hampshire-amusement-parks-santas-village-canobie-lake\/<\/a>><br \/>\n to reopen, which cleared the way for Canobie Lake Park\u2019s plan to welcome<br \/>\nvisitors back. It usually opens for the season in mid-May.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to be back.
