\ntime in The World, we hope this message finds you, and those you love and
\ncare about, in good health and strong spirits. The Covid-19 global pandemic
\nhas altered everything we know, and do, in our daily lives and routines.
\nNothing is as we once knew it, and while we all wish and want some normalcy
\nto return to society, it seems as though that time is still further off in
\nthe future. It is with this in the forefront of our minds, and deep in our
\nhearts, that Funtown Splashtown USA has made the extremely difficult
\ndecision to not open The Park for the summer 2020 season.<\/p>\n
\noutcome to have to finalize. For close to 6 decades, Funtown Splashtown USA
\nhas had the pleasure of safely entertaining families, rec groups, camps,
\nand corporate outings both large and small, from all over not only the
\ngreat State of Maine, but New England and the World over. It is an absolute
\nprivilege to operate a business that provides so many people, our
\nincredible guests, with a day of carefree fun and enjoyment with those
\nclosest to you. It is an honor that so many of you have chosen, year after
\nyear, to \u201cCreate Memories That Will Last a Lifetime\u201d with us. This is what
\nmakes this announcement so painful.<\/p>\n
\ninspections, to alert and attentive lifeguards, and everything in between,
\nour goal is safe family fun. At this time, we have had to look even more
\ndeeply at safety, in the form of this devastating virus. It is our feeling
\nthat the guidelines released by Governor Mills on Tuesday, based on the
\nwork of the Maine Center For Disease Control and Prevention and its
\ndirector Dr. Nirav Shah, make it clear that more time is needed to safely
\noperate businesses and spaces where large mass gatherings are to take
\nplace. It is with these guidelines, and for the safety of our community
\nboth near and far, that we have come to this fateful decision.<\/p>\n
\nnot only miss seeing all of the smiling faces of our guests on a daily
\nbasis, but also all of our Team Members. You are the backbone of our
\nbusiness, and we recognize this. All of your hard work and diligence, on
\nlong shifts during hot summer days, truly makes Funtown Splashtown USA what
\nit is. We will miss you all, and look forward to seeing you next summer!<\/p>\n
\nthroughout the years. We absolutely appreciate you and your families. We
\nwant you to know that your 2020 seasons pass will be honored in the 2021
\nseason. For more information or any questions regarding your pass(es),

\nreturning to the office on Monday, May 4, and will be working to connect
\nwith anyone reaching out, as soon as we possibly can.<\/p>\n
\nAs time moves forward and the States guidelines allow, we encourage you to

\nwho so desperately need your help for their survival. We wish them all the
\nbest.<\/p>\n
