As most of you know (even if you weren\u2019t there), ACE Day at Lake Compounce
\nwas held this past Saturday. While a competing event in a
\nnearby (260 miles) oceanfront amusement area affected our attendance
\nnumbers, it was a great event nonetheless.<\/p>\n

Lake Compounce park management pulled a couple of surprises on us, donating
\n*two* 2020 season passes and a 2-night cabin stay at their Bear Creek
\nCampground as raffle items, some great auction items (4 poster-sized photos
\nof *Phobia Fear Coaster* and *Boulder Dash*), a multitude of door prizes
\nand then, during night ERT, provided us with a snack of churros, pretzels
\nand water.<\/p>\n

And with that event behind us, I start thinking about possible 2020
\nregional events!<\/p>\n

Since the national Summer Conference was held at Funtown Splashtown USA,
\nStory Land and Santa\u2019s Village, and we had our informal \u2018take-over\u2019 at
\nEdaville Family Theme Park back in May, I have several thoughts for next
\nyear and I\u2019m looking for feedback from you on possible events at other
\nparks in our region.<\/p>\n

\nIn no particular order of preference:<\/p>\n

\u00a7 *ACE Plays at Canobie Lake Park* – an event with a catered picnic
\nlunch and ERT on Yankee Cannonball<\/p>\n

\u00a7 *ACE Screeems at Canobie Lake Park* \u2013 in conjunction with their
\nFall\/Halloween event, with ERT on Yankee Cannonball and admission to all
\nthe haunts<\/p>\n

\u00a7 *ACE Plays in Connecticut* \u2013 a one-day, 2-park event combining Quassy
\nAmusement Park and Lake Compounce. The event would begin at Quassy with
\nmorning ERT on *Wooden Warrior* and a picnic lunch, then move on to Lake
\nCompounce and would include a picnic dinner and night ERT.<\/p>\n

\u00a7 *ACE Plays at The Lake* \u2013 a Lake Compounce event like the one just held
\n(admission, free parking, buffet picnic, night ERT)<\/p>\n

\u00a7 *BOO-lder Dash Bash* \u2013 at Lake Compounce in conjunction with their
\nHaunted Graveyard event. It would include parking, admission to both the
\namusement park and the Haunted Graveyard, and ERT on Boulder Dash (and
\nperhaps another coaster) before the park opens. There would be no meal
\nincluded.<\/p>\n

\u00a7 *ACE Goes Mountain Coastering* \u2013 There are several mountain coasters
\nhere in New England, and if there is enough interest, inquires could be
\nmade about group rates and possible meal offerings from the operators.
\nSome are even close enough to one another that we could hit 2 on the same
\nday.<\/p>\n

\u00a7 *Six Flags New England* is always willing to \u201cput together something
\ndifferent\u201d for us in the way of a group outing. Their \u201cACE Behind The
\nScare\u201d was well attended and well received last October. I (and they) are
\ninterested in, and welcome any ideas you may have for \u2018something different\u2019
\nat the park.<\/p>\n
