2. Sad News from Canobie Lake Park
=======================

Canobie Lake Park’s Tom Morrow passes away at 64 (AUG 28, 2007) Thomas
O. Morrow III passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2007 with
family at his side at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. Tom
bravely battled cancer since being diagnosed in February of this year
and was comforted by the loving support of family, friends, and
colleagues throughout his treatment.

For the past thirty years, Tom oversaw the operations of Canobie Lake
Park and was a key player in that park’s development and success.

He is survived by his son Greg, his daughter Shannon, their spouses
Megan and Scott, his sister Linda, close family friends William, EJ and
Alex, and the thousands of staff he mentored over the past three decades.

A wake will be held at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, at 214 Main
Street, Salem, N.H., on Wednesday, August 29, 2007. A private funeral
service will be held with family and close friends on Thursday, August
30, 2007 at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home at 9 a.m.

Friends of Tom Morrow are invited to a memorial celebration at the
Canobie Lake Park catering pavilion on Thursday, August 30, 2007
following the service at 10:30 a.m. Guests are asked to check in through
the Main Gate.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the Thomas O.
Morrow Scholarship Fund – Dollars for Scholars, P.O. Box 297, Salem, N.H. 03079.
We, at Canobie Lake Park, will sincerely miss Tom and are warmly
comforted by his memory resonating in every corner of the Park and with
the thousands of lives he touched over three decades.

RIDEFEST '07
Lakemont Park
Altoona, Pennsylvania

This is a very unique event. The park is closed to the public that day,
but a handful of the park's rides, including it's four roller coasters,
will be open exclusively for Ridefest attendees. Forget Exclusive Ride
Time, this is Exclusive Park Time! Lakemont's coaster collection
includes two woodies--the ACE Coaster Classic Skyliner and the world's
oldest roller coaster--Leap the Dips!

To make it even more worthwhile, all proceeds benefit ACE's Preservation
Fund!
