From ACE member Beth Atkinson:Hi Peg...this just got brought to my attention so I thought I'd forward
it along...I hope all is well! -bethWinchendon Eyed For New Whalom Park - By Malinda Govoni

demolished Whalom Park will be rebuilt on a piece of land off of Route
140, in the town where he works. He said Whalom Park would suit
Winchendon because of the town's moniker, Toy Town. That ties in with
the old-fashioned amusement park's features. View Full Story

2. Conneaut Lake Park News (PA)
==========================================
From NW PA Regional Rep Bill Linkenheimer III:Conneaut Lake Park has been in the news quite a bit the past few days.
In this message, we'll attempt to catch you up with the somewhat gloomy
news from the park, as well as some optimism and a way you can help. This past Monday, Crawford County Judge Anthony Vardaro rejected the
park's plan to sell 3.3 acres of the park's land, situated along the
lake. The land was the site of the Flynn House, which burned down years
ago. It's to the left of the Beach Club, and wasn't being used by the
park. The purchaser-to-be was willing to pay $1.7 million for the
property, which was enough to allow the park to pay off some debut and
open the park for the 2007 season. develop condominiums that were to be
designed to fit in with the architecture of Hotel Conneaut. From all
reports, Greg Sutterlin, the developer of the proposed project wants to
build condominiums that were to be designed to fit in with the
architecture of Hotel Conneaut. Contrary to what usually happens when
condos are built on amusement park property, these were likely to
compliment and enhance the traditional park. Mr. Sutterlin seems to
believe that a prosperous Conneaut Lake Park is vital to the success of
his investment of developing residential real estate there. The judge issued a whole litany or reasons for the rejection, the list
On Tuesday, park officials announced a new plan to attempt to raise the
of which would likely send you to sleep. Suffice it to say, we don't
think he's a coaster enthusiast, and isn't as concerned about the
Vettel-designed ACE Coaster Classic and ACE Roller Coaster Landmark Blue
Streak as we are.
$300,000 they need to open the park this year. They hope to sell 60,000
commemorative tokens at $5.00 each. The gold-colored tokens made of
copper and brass can be redeemed for a ride-all-day pass any weekday
that the park is open. For enthusiasts, the tokens, which bear the park
logo, will make a great collector's item, as they were sold and used as
currency for nearly all purchases at the park during the era that Garry
Harris owned and operated it. Incidentally, Garry Harris, who is
probably best known for refusing to pay Federal income tax, was
responsible for saving the park not only once--when he literally bought
most of the rides at auction in the mid 1990s and then bought the
park--but also a second time, when he gifted the park to a public trust
to ensure it would always remain an amusement park.So what are you waiting for? Invest in Conneaut Lake Park's future. Call
the park and order your tokens. Credit cards are welcomed. To place your
order, call the park at 814.382.5115, extension 104. Buy a few extra for
your friends while your at it, as well as a few to use for collector
trading in the future. Currently, the tokens are not being sold online.See http://clpps.conneautlakeinstitute.org/ or www.conneautlakepark.com

3. ACE Discount at Seabreeze Park (NY)
==========================================From NY State Regional Rep Andy Delaney (delaney@hvc.rr.com):
We've been offered an ACE discount at Seabreeze Park in Rochester, NY.
You need to enter a coupon code of "ACE2007" (without the quotes) and
The discount is only good for pre-purchase tickets via their web site <
http://www.seabreeze.com >.
you get a discount of $2.50 off the purchase price of a "Summer Websaver
Ride & Slide pass". Normal pre-purchase discount is $2 so it's not a big
discount, but I thought it was nice of them to offer. We've been given permission to publish in the newsletter or distribute
via email. I don't think we really want to publish it on a public
section of the web site, though./[Editorial note: In the past, a similar ACE discount offered by another
park was discontinued because the “ACE” code was made available to the
general public. Please be responsible about sharing this code, which is
intended for legitimate ACE members. Even though it is not a huge amount
of money, it’s the principle that counts… - PB]/

As I'm sure you're aware, the weekend of July 7-8 is during Wildwood's
peak season, just after the 4th of July holiday. As such, hotels may be
difficult to come by in Wildwood and Wildwood Crest. They can also be
quite expensive and require 3 night minimum stays. If you wish to stay
in Wildwood for this event and don't want to stay more than 2 nights, we
suggest the following:Morey's hospitality has offered all "Coastin' by the Ocean" attendees
the opportunity to stay with a 2-night minimum at two of their hotels-
The Starlux and The Blue Palms. You must stay either Thursday/Friday
night, Saturday/Sunday night or Sunday night only. Here is how you
should go about making your special reservation at The Starlux or Blue
Palms per Gordon Clark at Morey's Hospitality:"They can send me an email (gordon.clark@moreyspiers.com) with their

need to mention their ACE affiliation. One of our reservationists will
contact the guest. If the guest needs to call, they will need call
Monday to Friday. They will need to mention their ACE affiliation and
