Hello Everyone,

While this is later than normal, Give Kids The World (GKTW) has released
the dates for their 2022 Coasting for Kids events.  Six of the eight
events are live on the Coasting For Kids (C4K) website, with a
participating park in your region.

Unfortunately, all of these dates fall around a week before Coaster Con
begins. The Kennywood event specifically actually falls on the day of
ACE’s regional pre-con event at Waldameer. These event dates changed so
significantly, because GKTW is going on an east coast bus tour to
celebrate their alumni families, and these are the dates that work for
the participating parks and GKTW. In addition, there will also be
another GKTW event going on for the alumni families that will include
other activities throughout the park not associated with the C4K event.

As Coaster Con is ACE’s biggest annual event, the demands on our
wonderful team of volunteers are immense. This is true for almost every
member of the ACE Cares team, as we also have multiple other ACE
volunteer responsibilities. While we love working with GKTW, as a
responsible non-profit organization, ACE has a responsibility to put our
members first.

*We still support GKTW and their mission, and we will work to continue
our partnership with them moving forward, but the timing of the
announcement and dates for this this year’s C4K events prevents ACE from
being able to participate as an official national partner. While there
will be no official ACE Cares teams for the 2022 season, we encourage
individual ACE members to donate and/or participate in the C4K events as
they see fit. *

Below are the six announced event dates as well as the links for both
Coasting & the Bus Tour if any of you would like that information.

Dollywood: Friday, June 10

Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Sunday, June 12

*Quassy: Tuesday, June 14*

*Canobie Lake Park: Thursday, June 16*

Knoebels: Friday, June 17

Kennywood: Saturday, June 18

Dates for Holiday World & Six Flags Over Texas are supposed to be
released in the near future

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! Thank you all
for the hard work that you do.
