ACE New England for 2020?

As most of you know (even if you weren’t there), ACE Day at Lake Compounce
was held this past Saturday. While a competing event in a
nearby (260 miles) oceanfront amusement area affected our attendance
numbers, it was a great event nonetheless.

Lake Compounce park management pulled a couple of surprises on us, donating
*two* 2020 season passes and a 2-night cabin stay at their Bear Creek
Campground as raffle items, some great auction items (4 poster-sized photos
of *Phobia Fear Coaster* and *Boulder Dash*), a multitude of door prizes
and then, during night ERT, provided us with a snack of churros, pretzels
and water.

And with that event behind us, I start thinking about possible 2020
regional events!

Since the national Summer Conference was held at Funtown Splashtown USA,
Story Land and Santa’s Village, and we had our informal ‘take-over’ at
Edaville Family Theme Park back in May, I have several thoughts for next
year and I’m looking for feedback from you on possible events at other
parks in our region.

In no particular order of preference:

§ *ACE Plays at Canobie Lake Park* – an event with a catered picnic
lunch and ERT on Yankee Cannonball

§ *ACE Screeems at Canobie Lake Park* – in conjunction with their
Fall/Halloween event, with ERT on Yankee Cannonball and admission to all
the haunts

§ *ACE Plays in Connecticut* – a one-day, 2-park event combining Quassy
Amusement Park and Lake Compounce. The event would begin at Quassy with
morning ERT on *Wooden Warrior* and a picnic lunch, then move on to Lake
Compounce and would include a picnic dinner and night ERT.

§ *ACE Plays at The Lake* – a Lake Compounce event like the one just held
(admission, free parking, buffet picnic, night ERT)

§ *BOO-lder Dash Bash* – at Lake Compounce in conjunction with their
Haunted Graveyard event. It would include parking, admission to both the
amusement park and the Haunted Graveyard, and ERT on Boulder Dash (and
perhaps another coaster) before the park opens. There would be no meal
included.

§ *ACE Goes Mountain Coastering* – There are several mountain coasters
here in New England, and if there is enough interest, inquires could be
made about group rates and possible meal offerings from the operators.
Some are even close enough to one another that we could hit 2 on the same
day.

§ *Six Flags New England* is always willing to “put together something
different” for us in the way of a group outing. Their “ACE Behind The
Scare” was well attended and well received last October. I (and they) are
interested in, and welcome any ideas you may have for ‘something different’
at the park.

Your thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

See you in the queue,
